Common terms:

Booking – A period during which the entertainer is supplied to a client.

Client – The person, group or establishment requiring the services of an entertainer.

Venue – The place in which the booking takes place

The Agreement:

The terms below applies to every venue which requires an entertainer either for residency or private functions.

1.                    Real Music Promotions Ltd agrees to offer to supply the client an entertainer that will arrive well within an allowed time to prepare by means of setting up such equipment to perform.

2.                    When an entertainer arrives at a venue they will: A) Entertain under the Real Music Promotions Ltd name and any offers of further work or residencies MUST be passed to Real Music Promotions Ltd. B) Comply with health and safety and all other policies and requests of the venue. C) Observe any request’s made by the client during the booking. D) Not engage in any conduct detrimental to the interests of the client or Real Music Promotions Ltd. E) keep confidential information relating to the clients employees business affairs, transactions or finances.

3.                    All payments for any function or residency work carried out by an entertainer must only be paid to Real Music Promotions Ltd on the presentation of an official dated invoice; methods of payment may vary and is dependant on the individual venue.

4.                    Due to the nature of this business, should the client wish to cancel a resident entertainer for what ever reason the client must give 1 weeks notice to Real Music Promotions Ltd, if 1 weeks notice is not given the client may be liable for the full amount. If the client wishes to cancel an entertainer that has been booked to perform at a private function 48 hours notice must be given.

5.                    Should an entertainers equipment break down the entertainer will attempt to the best of his/hers ability to fix the problem, if this is not possible the client will not be invoiced for this performance. This is something that does not happen very often and is an unforeseen event.

6.                    In unforeseen circumstances as equipment, transportation breakdown or even illness before an entertainer has arrived at the venue a replacement entertainer will be sent to cover the function. In some cases it is not always possible to send a replacement if. A) Very short notice, within hours of the start time. B) During Christmas and New Year period.

7.                    The law of England and Wales applies to this agreement and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

10                  It is the responsibility of the entertainer to purchase any insurance or test any equipment that is required for the venues they visit.

11                  An entertainer who has any query connected with any aspect of his/her booking may discuss the query with Real Music Promotions Ltd.

12                  If for whatever the circumstances Real Music Promotions Ltd have there term of work ended at a resident venue the DJ/Artist will not be permitted to work at that venue for themselves or any other agency for up to six months

13                  All resident venues must state there exact start and finish times to Real Music Promotions Ltd and any changes to these times must be put in writing before they come in to action. If the DJ/Artist is requested to perform out of the normal running hours Real Music Promotions Ltd will charge by the hour by dividing the normal costs by the normal hours. Please note that Christ and New Years Eve and some bank holidays will result in the hourly rate being increased to time and a half and in some cases double time.
